K-4 Emphasis on Student Excellence
As a student learning both now and in a lifelong context, you must set high expectations for yourself. As part of our K-4 emphasis on student excellence in Phoenix, AZ, we challenge students to build their own set of goals to achieve success. Each student is different but taking ownership of your results is a constant.
We support our students in this approach by providing a rigorous academic program with a supportive culture of achievement. Each student is encouraged to lead themselves through the U.L.E.A.D approach, commit to excellence while in school, and commit to the continuation of their education beyond high school to make a valuable contribution to society.
Success, whether through an academic perspective or a different environment, always begins with commitment and adherence to follow-through. We encourage our students towards ownership of their goals by communicating the big-picture value of a goal, not simply how to get there.
Lead by Example
Young children are often incredibly skilled observers, and the best resource they can have at such an impressionable stage is positive, tangible examples. We model exemplary behavior with each other as staff so students can easily see how leading themselves and peers by example is fun, simple, and rewarding.
Expect the Best
Facing a goal is about both committing to the work and bringing a positive attitude every day. To help big goals feel less scary, we remind and demonstrate to students that having the right outlook each day is as important as getting involved.
On the whole, humans are results-driven, and that includes youngsters. We know that fostering participation from students is often reliant on illustrating a clear reward or outcome. We use this principle of psychology to remove barriers and ignite motivation.
Seeing long-term results from any goal is always the product of your time invested in work or study. A priority in each of our classrooms is dedicating time for individual student growth. This is not only for teachers to plan out lessons appropriately, but so students can adopt the same habits that will encourage lifelong growth in Phoenix, AZ, and beyond.
To be successful in achieving your goals, you must do them yourself and take responsibility for the results! We encourage our students to speak with their Academic Advisor frequently to help them plan their future and to strengthen other aspects of our K-4 emphasis on student excellence.
